When a portal leaves Baxter trapped and powerless in an alternate world,
she finds herself on the run and fighting for her life. The world’s
Council wants to hand her over to Declan, and her only source of support
is a broken Alternate Jack who blames her for all he’s lost. Baxter
soon realizes that if she’s going to defeat Declan and get back to her
world, she’ll have to reclaim her abilities and be stronger than she
ever imagined.

Declan and the Absorbers’ Initiative wage war on everyone who
opposes them in their hunt for Baxter. Their actions reveal what her
future will be like if she doesn’t make some drastic decisions. She
knows that one misstep on her part will lead to the destruction of not
just this world, but her own.

In a race against Time and bitter enemies, Baxter will discover how
much is at stake and just what she’ll have to sacrifice to save those
she loves. Can she learn from the fate of an alternate world how to
become the Time Bender she’s meant to be?

Storyteller and avid traveller, Zoya, is carving a home for herself in the indie folk music world. Unmasking her conscience in her confessional songwriting and orchestral arrangements, these revelations gather Zoya’s experiences and understandings of the lives with whom she has brushed shoulders.

Beginning the journey in her birth country, India, her childhood home in Southern California, and unearthing countless countries in between, Zoya has developed a genre that stretches across all borders. Zoya kept up with her roots by intertwining the inescapable allure of the North Indian music tradition through her entrancing vocal style that is coupled with intense, stirring harmonies, and eclectic instrumentation

As a graduate from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, Zoya is nurturing her passion for music by collecting sounds from around the world and accompanies them with her honest lyrics and classical guitar. This new sound she has come to be known for has caught the attention of publications like the Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, MTV Indies,Wondering Sound and more.

Her debut EP titled, “Letters To Toska” released in November 2013 and recieved much acclaim from the Huffington Post, Earmilk, an more. This intimate EP draws to the mind works of other singer-songwriters – Fiona Apple, Ani DiFranco, Laura Marling or Susheela Raman. In November 2014, Zoya released her first ever Visual EP titled, “Lasya”. Partnering with a ballet dancer, modern contact dancer, and Indian dancer she used their choreography as a medium to gather their individual responses to the messages of longing and pining relayed in the lyrics of each song. The result was extraordinary footage that visually expressed this through dance. Now Zoya has been working on her full-length album titled “The Girl Who Used To Live In My Room” that is set to release in July 2015 and that was backed by her “The Girl Who” Kickstarter project.

In February 2015, Zoya performed at Brighton Music Hall with renowned looper – Kawehi – and had the opportunity to join her for her full west coast tour. Since, Zoya has followed the DIY footsteps of Kawehi by starting her own Kickstarter to fund her newest album and her first official tour in August 2015.

Now based in Southern California, Zoya is performing, writing, and recording more than ever before but, soon, hopes to move overseas to foster her eclectic sound and preserve her wanderlust nature.

Huachuca, Arizona, Lyn is a lover of words whose reading tastes range from Victorian novels to the books of Stephen King. Her favorite past-times have always been reading and writing, two activities that let her escape to other worlds.

Lyn lived for almost a decade in England followed by three years in France before returning home to the States. A self-confessed citizen of the world, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish, with basic knowledge of the Italian language.

Lyn currently lives in Central Florida with her French husband, English-born eldest son, and French-born youngest son. Her debut YA Novel, Interred, was published by Iambe books on 01/22/2013. IndieWritersReview Music Monday Spotlight Pentatonix!

Happy Music Monday Guys! Today I wanted to throw the spotlight on Pentatonix!

a fun plus 108

Pentatonix (often abbreviated as PTX) is an American a cappella group consisting of five vocalists originating from Arlington, Texas. The members in this group are Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Mitch Grassi. Their work, which is mostly in the pop style, consists of covers of existing songs, sometimes in the form of medleys, along with original material. Their music is defined by their own arrangement style, tight vocal harmonies, extensive vocal riffing, deep and steady vocal basslines, and a diverse range of vocal percussion and beatboxing.

Pentatonix formed in 2011 and came to prominence the same year by winning the third season of The Sing-Off on NBC, their victory earning them $200,000 and a recording contract with Sony Music. After being dropped from the label (Epic Records) after The Sing-Off, the group formed their popular YouTube channel and distributed their music through Madison Gate Records, a small independent label owned by Sony Pictures that distributes movie soundtracks. The group also made effective use of social media to interact with their fan base. Having now eclipsed 9 million subscribers and more than 1 billion cumulative views, the PTXofficial YouTube page is currently the 13th-most subscribed-to music channel and the 44th-most subscribed channel overall. Pentatonix’s most viewed music video is a tribute to Daft Punk that recently surpassed 150 million views.
