My Review

I really do not know how to express how much I loved this book! After turning the last page, I physically was breathless as I read the last few words.

The story tells the tale of Ava and Max. Ava is an Art Assistant who meets and is instantly attracted to the bad boy of the Art world Max Caswell. He is beautiful, passionate and seemingly a womanizer. But surprisingly, after helping Max out of a delicate situation which could have harmed his career. He insisted that she write the text for a book based on his life. During this process they grow closer to one another and she sees the opposite of the playboy, someone sweet and fun. But try as she might, she cannot deny the feeling that she has for him. He also seems affected by her, but pulls away right at the moment where she feels them become closer.
This continues until finally they no longer can deny their attraction and express their feelings. But the time and place makes Ava feel like another one of his conquest and she stops become things become to far. The couple fights and the separation causes an explosive breakdown in Max, Ava is not sure their bond will survive.

Work of Art is a very well written read full of passion and romance. I along with Ava felt as if I were on an emotional roller coaster ride flipping between the sweetness and the darkness of Max Caswell. He is everything I love in a character dark, passionate, edgy and intense. I hated when the story ended and I searched frantically for the second one in the series!

Due to suggestive imagery, language and subject, I suggest for mature audiences. Love it!

Famed artist, Maxfield Caswell is missing.

Three of his major paintings have been savagely defaced and his house left in ruins. As his friends search for him, does his muse, Ava, hold the key?

Before the hope of love is lost, secrets will be told, spirits will be broken, and a price will be paid.
From the cave dwellings of New Mexico to the shores of Malibu, Max and Ava’s journey tests them to their limits. As they render passion and pain in broad strokes, will their all-consuming love rise from the debris?

My Review

Simply breathtaking! I could not wait for the second book in this installation, and I was not disappointed! Ms. Clampett has once again drawn me in and takes me on a roller coaster ride emotionally!! I cannot help but loving Max with all his torment and passions! The book picks up where the first one ends with Max having disappeared and a few of his paintings defaced. In Book Two, the search continues with all his loved ones, and Ava who feels guilt for his disappearance, in the forefront. On the fringes, is Johnathon the almost too good to be true publisher that is wooing Ava. We find out as readers there is a reason for his excessive charm. (Wow! Don’t want to spoil it!).

Max does come back and the two (Ava and Max) attempts to re-build their budding relationship from scratch by taking it slow. But Max is a “Take All” personality so struggles with insecurities and jealousies related to Ava. She attempts to care for his fragile feelings, while also dealing with her own self doubts, and fear. But in the mix of this is a passion which is so profound it threatens to engulf both of them.

There will be tears, and mouth dropping surprise within this book, there is a cliff hanger at the end, and so now the torture begins waiting for the third in the series!

I fully recommend this incredible series!

My Review

I absolutely love Max…love Ava…love Max&Ava! Truly two of my favorite couples! The story picks up where book 2 ends and questions we were left hanging with in the previous book is answered. But the reader cannot rest, because there so much more that kicks off for the pair! As Ava begins to grow into her own with her new job, Max is faltering a little, afraid to lose the woman he loves and…or course…acts in Max fashion! But you cannot help but love him and he does surprise Ava and the reader in supporting her. I love the fact that no matter what, the two, even down to the breaking point, will not give up on the other. Plus the incredible heat and passion between the two leaves me swooning! Lol.

I read the first two books and I am extremely pleased with how the Author has wrapped the story up. Now I will miss them and will have to re-read the entire trilogy! Just a fantastic read that I highly recommend!
