Photographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.

Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.

Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.

But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her

I am such a huge fan of Author Raine Thomas! Her Daughters Of Saraqael series is still one of my favorite Fantasy series to date! Now I must say that I love Ms. Thomas New Adult titles as well. Meant For Her was fantastic!

The story follows very sexy baseball player Evan Dorsey, who desiring to fulfill the longtime wish of his mother, who had recently passed; Evan negotiated a spot on the Atlanta team, playing alongside with his long time buddy Cole parker. ( He was the hottie from Ms. Thomas first New Adult title  For Everly:O)

Evan’s plan was to play that one season and then move on, actually this has been Evan’s M.O. for a long while, not staying anywhere very long, and forming no lasting  attachments.  But then he discovered the mysterious and free spirited young woman he’d met previously, was the niece of his new team owner!

Sierra had always been aware of Evan, her family firmly meshed in baseball–even her grandmother, whose greatest wish was to have Evan Dorsey sign her cleavage! (I like Grandma! ) So Evan has always been someone of interest to Sierra, but when seeing him at a wedding, sickened in spirit and hurting (His mother had recently died). Sierra reached out to him, to encourage him and to offer him comfort, not even telling him her name. But she knew from that first meeting, there was a connection between the two.

But she was still surprised to see him as a member of her aunt’s team. Things heat up as Evan becomes her neighbor  in her apartment building. He at first rejects her attempts at friendship and at being drawn out. He desired to play sports and remain locked in his apartment. His preference was to remain untangled, believing otherwise brought pain. But Sierra’s lovely spirit, kindness, insightfulness and care soon draws him out. As the two become closer, there are others with dangerous and negative desires and plans that threaten to separate the fragile  love that Sierra and Evan were just discovering.

Oh my goodness I loved this book! Evan, with his Australian accent, is so very sexy! I really became a fan of his, because of the depth he exhibited.  He felt deeply, and was passionate and I liked that about him. There was an incident in the story where he confronted a teammate who had threatened Sierra, he was fierce. In my mind I saw a young man that had incredible strength of character and was a little wild underneath! He was a risk taker, that was shown when he spoke with team owner Caroline on his own, even though it wasn’t the norm, to obtain his goal, to play for the Atlanta team. He drew me in, with that barely controlled… and a touch of recklessness in his behavior. I liked that edge. Now I was a little upset with him, when the two became close and his fear kicked in regarding the emotional attachment, how he was to Sierra! Yes, although he has made my list for favorite book boyfriends, I was a little miffed! But he knew he was wrong, he regretted trying to push her away, so I felt actually this was a honest reaction after such a great lost…and I was glad to see the depth in this character.

But I will say the character who touched me the most was Sierra, she was simply one of the most beautiful characters I have read up until now. She had such a honest, genuine tenderness about her. Although her Sixth Sense gave her a little insight into others, a large part were her observations and incredible generous heart. I liked her funky style, slightly bohemian and free. She was so good with Evan, patient and kind regarding his inner suffering. But not only Evan, but others such as the asst. Camilla who lied and stole not only Sierra’s ideas, but made her look bad in front of her boss. Again, I became irritated and I sided with Evan, when he said she was too nice and that the girl should be confronted, which Sierra did but at the right time for her. This made the difference in the long run and as with most Sierra did work out for the best.

The two of them, as a couple was incredible. Oh my goodness, when they finally came together physically, it was an extremely intense and steamy encounter!

(Whew! Had me sweating a little, LOL)

Meant for Her was well written and well paced story. It was laced with humor and several twists and turns…plus the ending surprised me!

I FULLY recommend  for lovers of Contemporary Romance and Suspense! (Recommend best for Adults)
