200px-The-voice-official-logoWell guys I am very much behind in what is probably already known to everyone else, the winner of NBC’s The Voice season #3. If you might not have been aware, Jamie B Musings and myself had what we  called the Virtual Voice event. Where the object was for both of us to pick a team, then update our readers about the outcome and such. Now I will admit, that in November, I fell behind in my duties of reporting which Jamie did keep the updates going, which just shows how awesome she is, I was not as adept and handling NaNoWriMo and well…anythingelse:O) So Jamie thanks…

But I had updated the last few shows, reporting the final happenings of the season. This is not to say that I will not check in on The Voice this upcoming season and/or X-Factor and report, but I will not make it a permanent fetaure…

So, now I wanted to make sure in closing the Virtual Voice that I eat my humble pie and announce that Team Jamie B Musings is the winner! Her memember Cassadee Pope was name the Voice, being the youngest and first female to hold the title thus far…So congrats Cassadee AND Team Jamie!

Future Plans:

Pope is currently signed to Universal Music Group and will reportedly release her upcoming album in the first quarter of 2013. When asked what direction she’d like to take her debut solo album in, Pope responded:

“If you were to take Taylor Swift, make it edgier with a just a little hint of country and make the lyrics a little more mature, that would be the direction I’d like to take.”

Her debut release after her win is her remake of Faith Hill country hit “Cry“.
