It’s been three thousand years since the fall of Azzaziel and the rebirth of evil; three thousand years since the Sentinal Order, an elite group of warrior angels, returned to Celestium. Their job-rid Earth of the dark creatures, the UnHoly. And with luck, end Azza’s rule. As if casting out demons isn’t hard enough, five-hundred-year-old Nesy has to masquerade as a teenage girl to do it. Nesy is the best of the Sentinel. She never makes mistakes, never hesitates, never gets emotionally involved. Until she meets Aydan. He is evil incarnate; a fallen angel that feeds off the souls of others. Everything Nesy is supposed to hate. But she can’t, because he’s also the love of her former life as a human girl-a life that ended too soon, tying her to emotions she was never supposed to feel. Now Nesy must choose between doing her duty-damning Aydan to the fiery depths of hell-or saving him, and condemning herself. And her choice may cost her, and Celestium, far more than anyone realizes. How much will she sacrifice for love

REVIEW

Lacrimosa tells the story of Nesy and Aydan, two Angels who have a passionate love for one another that spans time. Nesy is an Angel  is a Sentinel, a warrior who trained to combat the evil of  Azzaziel and his UnHoly ones. Nesy was highly regarded by her leader and those she served with; Nesy never made mistakes. But when she was sent on her newest assignment, to destroy one of Azzaziel’s most powerful UnHoly’s Aydan, then everything changes. Nesy starts having memories of another time, another life, where she was a young girl named Elle, and Aydan was Adam. Their love was immediate, certain, and forever, when they first met, hundreds of years ago, where Elle was then on earth as a young girl, who did not remember that she was an Angel, and Aydan, was there as a human (but was Angel as well…who knew he was Angel), convinced he was in love with a human, and for which he was punished, and fell. But loved her intensely he did, until. Elle was killed, and Aydan(Adam) revenged her death and then turned to the darkness of Azzaziel, and was now destined to become the Beast. The Beast, that Nesy(Elle) must destroy.

I LOVED this book! Sometimes its difficult for me to find the romance that will satisfy my romantic heart, I mean it typically has to have adventure, strong female, strong yet sensitive male, torturous conditions which they must overcome, passionate love and…and…whew!

and that’s not easy to find! But in Lacrimosa I did, I was on the edge of my seat waiting breathless to see what would happen next, I mean what else could possibly happen to these two lovers, who I rooted for to the end. Will they overcome this seemingly hopeless situation? Will they be together?

Yes, this is a must read for those that love passionate, intense, heart wrenching romantic stories, that leave you breathless, and totally satisfied at the end!

Go read it!:O)
